At Sears Private Practice, we value your time and commitment to the therapeutic process. This Cancellation & Refund Policy is designed to ensure fairness and respect for both clients and the counsellor’s professional schedule. It applies to all online and in-person counselling sessions.

1. Appointment Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule your counselling session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice prior to your scheduled appointment time.

2. Late Cancellations and No-Shows

If you:

the full session fee will be charged, and no refund will be provided. This policy applies equally to online and in-person sessions.

If you provide more than 24 hours’ notice, we will make every effort to reschedule your appointment at a mutually convenient time without any additional cost.

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment by contacting us via:

Messages received outside business hours will be treated as received at the start of the next working day.

6. Exceptions

We understand that emergencies can occur. Exceptions to this policy may be made only in cases of genuine emergencies or unforeseen circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies, natural disasters), at the sole discretion of Richard Sears.

7. Agreement to Policy

By booking or attending a counselling session with Sears Private Practice, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Cancellation & Refund Policy.
